We wash all fiber, we use this step to add eco-friendly chemicals to help with processing.

Good fiber starts at shearing.  Separate blanket fiber from non prime cuts.  Short cuts should be left out as they cause breakage and slubs in the yarn. 

Please remove as much excess vegetation as possible.  Also pick out sections with an excess amount of guard hair.  Overly dirty fleeces will be charged $10/Fleece to pick out debris.  The better the fiber that is put in, the better the end products will be. 

Plan on processing higher quality fiber into pin drafted rovings and sport weight or thinner yarns.  Lower quality fibers are great as felting & bulky yarns along with carded rovings for felting.

Ship and store your fiber in a breathable bag.  Plastic bags not tied or with holes along with pillow cases do the trick. 

PUT an Identification Tag in all bags to insure all fiber is processed how you intended it to be.
